Children's
dentistry.

From first teeth onwards. The aim is a child who does not grow up frightened of this.

In one paragraph

What it is.

Children come here from their first teeth. The early visits are mostly about getting comfortable in the chair — examining teeth and discussing home care with you.

The dentistry itself is prevention: keeping an eye on how the adult teeth are arriving, sealing the grooves in new molars, and fluoride where it helps.

Detail

The specifics.

First visit

Around the first birthday, or when the first teeth appear.

What happens

A ride in the chair, a count, a look. Short and uneventful by design.

Prevention

Sealants on new adult molars, fluoride where the risk calls for it.

Watching

How the adult teeth are coming through, and whether orthodontics is likely later.

CDCP

The Canadian Dental Care Plan is accepted.

Nervous children

Tell us beforehand. We will take it at their pace, not the schedule's.

Money

What it costs.

You get an itemised written estimate before anything starts. We bill your insurance directly, so you usually pay only your own portion on the day, and the Canadian Dental Care Plan is accepted. In-house financing is available through PaySpyre, so treatment can be paid for over time.

Questions.

When should my child first see a dentist?

Around their first birthday, or when the first teeth come through. The first visit includes an assessment and advice for parents; treatment depends on what is found.

Do baby teeth matter if they fall out anyway?

Yes. They hold the space for the adult teeth and an infected baby tooth can damage the one forming underneath.

Is the CDCP accepted for children?

Yes, the Canadian Dental Care Plan is accepted here.

What if my child is frightened?

Tell us when you book. We plan a longer, slower appointment rather than trying to rush it.
