Your first
visit.

No surprises, and no lecture. Here is exactly what the hour looks like and what it costs.

  1. Tell us what is going on.

Book online or call. If something hurts, say so when you book — we prioritise it. Bring your insurance details and we will go through them with you at the desk. We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

  2. An exam, X-rays and a cleaning where it fits.

A proper look at your teeth, gums and bite. Digital X-rays — only the ones needed for what we are looking at. If there is time and your gums are healthy enough, the hygienist cleans on the same visit. Where we need a model, it is an intraoral scan, not an impression tray.

  3. A written plan, with real prices.

You leave with the plan on paper: what we found, what we recommend, what it costs, and what can safely wait. Nothing starts before you have seen that number.

Questions people ask first.

How long is a first appointment?

Usually about an hour. An exam, the X-rays we actually need, a cleaning if there is time and it is appropriate, and a written plan before you leave.

Do I need a referral?

No. Yaletown Dentistry takes new patients directly. Bring your insurance details if you have them.

What if I have not been to a dentist in years?

That is a large share of the people we see, and nobody here will make a comment about it. Tell us at the desk if you are nervous and we will work at your pace.

Will I be told off about my teeth?

No. We will tell you what we find and what the options are, and the decision is yours.
