Dentures.

Full, partial, and the implant-supported options for when a denture will not stay where you put it.

In one paragraph

What it is.

A denture replaces missing teeth and can be taken out. A partial fills gaps among remaining teeth; a full one replaces an entire arch.

The common complaint is lower dentures that move. Implants change that: even two can anchor a lower denture so it stays put, and a fixed full-arch removes the plate altogether.

Detail

The specifics.

Partial

For gaps among teeth you still have.

Full

A complete upper or lower arch.

Immediate

Fitted the same day teeth are removed, so you are not without.

Implant-retained

Two or more implants to stop a lower denture moving.

Fixed full-arch

Not removable at all. See the full-arch page.

Relines

Gums change shape over time. A reline restores the fit without a new denture.

Money

What it costs.

You get an itemised written estimate before anything starts. We bill your insurance directly, so you usually pay only your own portion on the day, and the Canadian Dental Care Plan is accepted. In-house financing is available through PaySpyre, so treatment can be paid for over time.

Questions.

Can I get dentures the same day my teeth are taken out?

Yes — an immediate denture is made in advance and fitted at the extraction appointment. It needs relining later as the gums settle.

Why does my lower denture move so much?

There is far less ridge to hold onto in a lower jaw, and the tongue works against it. Implants are the reliable answer.

How long do dentures last?

The denture itself lasts years, but your gums and bone keep changing shape underneath it, so it needs relining or remaking periodically.

Are dentures covered by the CDCP?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan is accepted here. What it covers in your case is something we check before starting.
