Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening in Vancouver

Cosmetic Dentistry | Yaletown Dentistry

Coffee, red wine, and just plain time can dull even the healthiest smile. Professional whitening cuts through years of staining safely and noticeably. We offer in office treatment for same day results and take home kits for a more gradual lift, both leagues ahead of anything on the drugstore shelf. Your Yaletown lifestyle deserves a smile to match.

In Office Whitening

Our in office treatment delivers dramatic results in a single visit. We protect your gums, apply a professional grade whitening gel, and activate it with a curing light. Most patients leave several shades brighter in about an hour.

Take Home Kits

Prefer to whiten on your own schedule? We create custom fitted trays and provide professional whitening gel you can use at home. The results build gradually over a couple of weeks, and the trays can be reused for touch ups down the road.

Porcelain Veneers and Crowns

Porcelain Veneers in Yaletown, Vancouver

Cosmetic Dentistry | Yaletown Dentistry

Veneers are thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of your teeth, and they can correct chips, gaps, discolouration, and uneven alignment in one treatment plan. The result looks natural because every set is designed specifically for your face, your colouring, and the smile you have in mind. It is one of the most popular cosmetic treatments we offer at our Yaletown clinic, and for good reason.

The Process

We start with a consultation and digital imaging to design your veneers. A small amount of enamel is prepared from the front of each tooth, impressions are taken, and temporary veneers are placed while yours are crafted in the lab. At your next visit, we bond the permanent veneers and fine tune the fit. Most patients need two appointments total.

Veneers vs. Crowns

Veneers cover the front surface and are ideal for cosmetic improvements. Crowns wrap the entire tooth and are better suited for teeth that need structural reinforcement. We will recommend the right option based on your specific situation.

Crowns and Bridges

Dental Crowns and Bridges in Vancouver

Restorative Dentistry | Yaletown Dentistry

A crown rebuilds a tooth that has been weakened by decay, a fracture, or a large old filling. Think of it as a custom cap, shaped and shaded to match the rest of your smile. We use digital impressions instead of messy moulds, which means a better fit and a faster process. Most patients tell us the result feels just like the original tooth.

A bridge closes the gap left by a missing tooth with a natural looking replacement held in place by the teeth on either side. It is a reliable, time tested solution that restores both function and confidence.

When You Need a Crown

After a root canal. When a large filling has weakened the remaining tooth structure. To repair a cracked or fractured tooth. To restore a dental implant. We use durable, tooth coloured materials that blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.

When a Bridge Makes Sense

If you are missing one or two teeth and the neighbouring teeth are healthy enough to support the restoration. A bridge can restore your bite, prevent shifting, and give you back a complete smile without surgery.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants in Vancouver

Implant Dentistry | Yaletown Dentistry

An implant replaces a missing tooth from the root up. A small titanium post is placed into the jawbone, and once it integrates, a custom crown is attached on top. The result looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth. Unlike a bridge, there is no need to modify the teeth beside it, and unlike a denture, it is not going anywhere.

Our team has placed implants for patients across Downtown Vancouver and beyond, from single tooth replacements to complex full arch cases. If you have been told you are not a candidate elsewhere, it is worth getting a second opinion here.

Why Implants Matter for Your Long Term Health

They preserve jawbone density where the tooth was lost. They prevent neighbouring teeth from shifting. They restore full chewing function. And they give you back the confidence to smile without thinking about it.

The Implant Process

Consultation and 3D imaging. Implant placement under local anaesthetic. A healing period of three to six months as the implant fuses with the bone. Finally, a custom crown is attached. The timeline varies by case, but the result is built to last decades.

Composite White Fillings

Composite Fillings in Vancouver

Restorative Dentistry | Yaletown Dentistry

Tooth coloured composite bonds directly to your enamel, creating a strong, seamless repair that blends right in. No silver, no mercury, just a clean restoration that looks and feels like your natural tooth. It is one of the most common procedures we do, and one of the most satisfying because you leave looking like nothing ever happened.

Why Composite?

Composite resin matches your tooth colour for a natural appearance. It bonds directly to the tooth, strengthening it rather than just filling a hole. No mercury or metal alloys. And it requires less drilling, which means more of your healthy tooth is preserved.

Replacing Old Amalgam Fillings

If you have old silver fillings that are cracking, leaking, or simply bothering you cosmetically, we can replace them with composite. Many patients make the switch for both health and aesthetic reasons, and the results speak for themselves.

Inlay & Onlay Restorations

Inlays and Onlays in Vancouver

Restorative Dentistry | Yaletown Dentistry

When a filling is not quite enough but a full crown is more than you need, an inlay or onlay fits right in the middle. These restorations are made from durable, tooth coloured material and are designed to preserve as much of your healthy tooth structure as possible. The fit is precise, the look is natural, and the result lasts.

Inlay vs. Onlay

An inlay fills the space within the cusps of a tooth. An onlay extends over one or more cusps to cover a larger area. Both are fabricated in a lab for an exact fit, making them stronger and more durable than a standard filling for moderate to large restorations.

The Process

We prepare the tooth, take a digital impression, and place a temporary restoration while the lab crafts your custom inlay or onlay. At your second visit, we bond it into place and check the fit. Two visits, long lasting results, and your tooth stays as intact as possible.

Mouthguards

Custom Mouthguards in Vancouver

Preventive Care | Yaletown Dentistry

A custom mouthguard fits your teeth exactly, which means better protection and a far more comfortable experience than anything you will find at a pharmacy. Whether you are playing hockey at the Roundhouse, grinding your teeth at night, or clenching through a stressful workday, a properly fitted guard makes a real difference.

Sports Guards

A single impact can crack, chip, or knock out a tooth. Custom sports guards absorb and distribute force far more effectively than boil and bite options. They also stay in place, so you can breathe and communicate without constantly adjusting.

Night Guards

Bruxism, teeth grinding and clenching during sleep, wears down enamel, causes jaw pain, and can lead to cracked teeth over time. A custom night guard protects your teeth and reduces the strain on your jaw muscles. Many patients notice less morning jaw stiffness within the first week.

Sports Guards

Sports Guards in Vancouver

Preventive Care | Yaletown Dentistry

A single hit during a game can crack, chip, or knock out a tooth. Store bought guards are bulky, loose fitting, and hard to breathe through. Custom sports guards are formed from an impression of your teeth for a precise, comfortable fit that stays put when it matters.

Who Needs a Sports Guard?

Anyone playing contact or high impact sports: hockey, basketball, soccer, martial arts, mountain biking, skateboarding. If there is a chance of a ball, stick, elbow, or pavement meeting your face, a guard is cheap insurance against expensive dental work.

Custom vs. Store Bought

Custom guards are thinner, fit tighter, and allow normal breathing and speaking. They last longer and offer significantly better protection. We take an impression at one visit and have your guard ready at the next. For young athletes still growing, we can remake them as needed.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X Rays in Vancouver

Diagnostic Imaging | Yaletown Dentistry

X rays show us what is happening beneath the surface, things a visual exam alone cannot catch. Our digital system captures detailed images quickly, with significantly less radiation than older film based X rays, and the results appear on screen in seconds. That means faster diagnoses, smarter treatment plans, and less time in the chair for you.

If it has been a while since your last set, it is a good idea to get updated imaging so we have a clear baseline for your care.

What Digital X Rays Reveal

X rays help us identify issues that are not visible to the eye, including: cavities between teeth, bone loss from gum disease, infections at the root of a tooth, impacted teeth, cysts or tumours, and the position of teeth that have not yet erupted.

Safety

Digital X rays use up to 80 percent less radiation than traditional film. We also use lead aprons and thyroid collars for added protection. The images are instant, so there is no waiting for film to develop, and we can zoom in on areas of concern right on screen with you.

Home Care

Home Care Tips for a Healthy Smile

Preventive Guidance | Yaletown Dentistry

Great oral health does not stop at the clinic door. We send you home with clear, practical guidance so your smile stays strong between visits. The basics matter more than most people think, and small changes in your daily routine can make a big difference at your next check up.

Brushing

Twice a day, two minutes each time, with a soft bristled brush. Electric brushes are great if you tend to rush. Focus on the gumline and the chewing surfaces of your back teeth. Replace your brush or brush head every three months.

Flossing

Once a day, every day. Floss reaches the 35 percent of tooth surface that brushing misses. Wrap it in a C shape around each tooth and slide it gently below the gumline. If traditional floss is tricky, water flossers and interdental brushes work well too.

Diet and Habits

Limit sugary snacks and acidic drinks. Drink water after coffee or wine. Avoid chewing ice or using your teeth as tools. These small habits add up to fewer cavities and healthier gums over the long run.
