Now what do I do with it?

When the [ ] cursor is displayed, you can pan freely through the panorama by left-clicking and dragging the cursor left and right through the photo.

When [ ] cursor is displayed you are hovering over a "hotspot". This is an area that you can click on. Clicking on a hotspot will take you into the next room
